Banner year in works for AB oilpatch

In a major report on Canada’s oil sector, the Conference Board said it expects Canadian crude production — the vast majority located in Alberta — to jump more than nine per cent in 2008 due to surging oilsands output and continue to grow for some time. “In fact, non-conventional oil production will be the main driver behind gains in domestic crude production for the foreseeable future,” said the report.
